In December 2021, the Federal District Court of New Jersey issued an order granting our client's petition to correct his date of birth on Naturalization Certificate.
Our client was a refugee from Vietnam. During his immigration process, his date of birth was recorded incorrectly. As he fled Vietnam without any legal documents, he was unable to provide proof of his true date of birth. In an attempt to correct his important vital record, he initiated various legal proceedings and appeals with state and federal agencies such as USCIS, Department of State, Administrative Appeal Office, Department of Social Security, and DMV . Over the course of almost 40 years, our client's attempt to correct his date of birth was to no avail.
Client then retained our office. Attorney Nguyen D. Luu reviewed client's immigration record and assisted client with the petition. Our firm is pleased to successfully petition the federal court to restore our clients' corrected vital information. USCIS's previous denial of our client's N-565 form has been reversed by the court order. Client is now waiting to have his new Naturalization Certificate re-issued.
